The Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize - 2017

Congratulations to Niagara artist, Steven Rendall, who has been selected as a finalist in this year's Bayside Aqcuisitive Art Prize (BAAP) with his work, ... terminal fauna provisional, 2016. For a full list of finalists, visit the BAAP website.

An exhibition of finalists' work will be held at the The Gallery at Bayside Arts & Cultural Centre from 6 May - 18 June 2017.

Euan Macleod: High and Low - Nockart Gallery

NockArt Gallery​, Hong Kong presents High and Low, an exhibition of 41 works on paper by Niagara artist, Euan Macleod, as well as a number of his paintings. Macleod created the works after a trip to China’s spectacular Yellow Mountain (Huangshan) in 2016.

Martin Parr - winner of the 2017 Outstanding Contribution to Photography Prize

Congratulations to Martin Parr, who is the recipient of this year's Outstanding Contribution to Photography prize from World Photography Organisation. The World Photography Organisation has conducted an interview with Parr.

An exhibition will be held to coincide with the award, presenting a selection of images, books and film from Parr's career, shown as part of the Sony World Photography Awards & Martin Parr - 2017 Exhibition at Somerset House, London, 21st April - 7th May

Parr will collect his title at the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards ceremony held in London on Thursday 20 April

Niagara artist Brenda L. Croft features in Our Lands, a group exhibiton at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Orange Regional Gallery presents Euan Macleod: Prints 1991-2016, a retrospective of the artist's prints curated by Gavin Wilson.

Macleod’s prints have played a significant role in the evolution of the artist’s career. Working with master printmakers such as Ron McBurnie and Michael Kempson, he has probed aspects of the human condition extending his idiosyncratic oeuvre.

Michelle Grabner - James Cohan Gallery

James Cohan presents an exhibition of new work by Michelle Grabner.

Grabner has produced a series of bronze sculptures and large scale paintings drawn from the artist's collection of knitted and crocheted blankets. The works respond to the textiles' varying modes of 'usefullness' - as objects of comfort and care transformed into physical frameworks for fine art objects.

The Art Gallery of South Australia presents a significant collection of works by Rick Amor.
